We had so much fun last year, we've decided to do it again!
Have you ever wanted to make tamales, but the task seemed a little daunting? Or maybe you're a pro and you'd love to share your wisdom with others.
Tamales Colorados are a Guatemalan specialty made of corn meal, chicken, and sauce, prepared for large gatherings and celebrations. Making tamales in Guatemala is often a family effort and is also a fun way to learn a little about Guatemalan culture while building community.
So, come on over and join our Sister Parish family for an afternoon of community building as we prepare a feast for our 2nd Annual “Guatemalan Dinner and a Movie”.
Date: February 18
Location: Kitchen of Hospitality Hall
If you can't make it to the tamal preparation, but would still like to help out on the night of “Guatemalan Dinner and a Movie” event, we have several other volunteer opportunities, open to all.
If you are interested in cooking or just volunteering, please fill out the form and submit it by February 16. Only one person per form, please. Gracias!
