Baptism
We welcome members, both
young and older, into the Christian faith and the St. Joan of Arc community.
Infant and toddler baptisms generally take place on the first and third Sundays
of each month in the Church after Sunday services.
Registered parishioners
wishing to have their child baptized at St. Joan of Arc are required to
participate in a Baptism preparation class which typically takes place during
the second week of the month. In addition to instruction, the parish provides a
Baptismal certificate, candle and garments/stoles (created by our parishioners)
to those receiving the sacrament.
We love music here at St. Joan of Arc and want to help your little one start singing and "making a joyful noise." Enjoy this collection of songs your child will hear when she/he attends preschool.
Older children and adults
wishing to be baptized are encouraged to participate in the Christian
Initiation of Children (CIC) or Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
programs which culminate with Baptism during the Easter season.
For more information or to register your child for Baptism, contact JP Fitzgibbons, email or 612.823.8205.
Volunteer through our Shared Ministry Form to be a baptism class teacher or to assist in sewing and embroidering baptism gowns or stoles.
