Camping and retreat opportunities for SJA youth provide quality-time that makes room for spiritual growth and the necessary support of, and connection to their faith community.
Summer Stretch is a day camp for 6-8th graders (2017-2018 school year). This year, we will be meeting on Thursdays: June 15th, 22nd, 29th and July 6th from 9am-4pm. Each morning we will meet at the Arc at 9am and will do a service project in the morning, followed by lunch and a fun activity for the remainder of the afternoon. Pick up will be at the Arc at 4pm. Crosswoods is a new week long adventure camp we are offering for students who are currently in 5th-9th grade! Crosswoods is located in Mason, WI and will be going Sunday July 30th-Friday August 4th. Our week at Crosswoods will be full of adventures including: kayaking, swimming in the lake, hiking, biking, team building activities and much much more! Cost is $350, scholarships available. Youth in Theology & Ministry- June 2017
This camp is available to 9th-12th Graders. During the two-week Summer Institute, you will take college-level theology classes from CSB/SJU professors, do service and leadership activities, experience a variety of Christian prayer forms, and explore your vocational call--all while immersing yourself in the life of the Saint John's University campus, complete with volleyball, canoeing, hiking, swimming, and rock climbing. You will also take part in many of our YTM traditions, including cabin time, an awesome dance, a volleyball tournament, and the annual No-Talent Show. Cost is $700, scholarships are available.
