The
St. Joan of Arc Outreach Fund
Living our faith,
sharing our abundance, building God’s Kingdom of justice and peace!
The SJA Outreach Fund is
a designated, restricted fund designed to maximize our parish impact for peace
and justice. We fund charitable efforts and efforts for systemic change. We
reflect the values and vision of St. Joan of Arc.
We cannot be supported
by the SJA operating budget, so we rely on additional contributions made
specifically to the SJA Outreach Fund. The Outreach Fund is an umbrella, under
which the following efforts are funded:

SJA Justice Grants: Twice a year we award grants
to organizations and projects in which our parishioners are volunteers and
leaders. These grants allow us to partner both with our own parishioners and
with fantastic organizations working for justice and peace. Deadlines are May 1
and November 1. Download the grant application HERE.
- CARE Committee: We provide life-giving support to
parishioners and neighbors in need of emergency financial assistance for
housing or utilities. We also provide support to several partner housing
and social service providers to assist their clients. A committee of
parishioners meets with applicants and distributes our funds. We budget
$96,000 annually to help people in need.
- Sustaining Partnerships with Mobile Loaves Twin Cities, Sister Parish, Arm in Arm in Africa, Women Against
Military Madness, and Risen Christ
Catholic School - organizations that are integral to the life of SJA.
Our support to our Sustaining Partners totals $35,000 yearly.
We have also supported
special projects, including providing initial funding to Mental Health Connect,
making a donation to a local mosque when their meeting place was lost to a
fire, and bringing a young Iraqi to the U.S. for medical care following the war
and occupation.
We are committed stewards of your donations to
the Outreach Fund. Parishioners serve and lead on all the committees that make
funding decisions. To continue expanding this amazing and blessed work, we need
