A team of SJAers is joining a monthly prayer vigil by the Interfaith Coalition on Immigration at the Whipple Courthouse at Fort Snelling. During this vigil, we remember those immigrants, refugees and asylees whose lives are so precarious here in this country. This month, the theme was the protection of the Dreamers - those who are waiting on the passage of the DREAM Act to ensure that they can continue to safely live, work and learn in this country. A hearty thanks go to members of our SJA Welcome the Stranger ministry, who organize our presence at this monthly vigil and who would welcome you to join them the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 8am. FFI/to connect with this ministry, please contact Julie Madden (jmadden [at] stjoan.com) at the parish center.
