Lenten Wednesdays at St. Joan of Arc

For quiet prayer and meditation, for fun, food and community, for learning that challenges, engages and inspires… bring the entire family to Lenten Wednesdays here at St. Joan of Arc! 
Ash Wednesday, February 14 
Masses with distribution of ashes at 8 am and Noon in the gym.
Soup Supper 5-6:30 pm in Hospitality Hall 
A Prayer Service with ashes will be celebrated at 7 pm in the Gym: Pray, sing and hear personal heart opening stories of transformation from three parishioners. Fr. Jim DeBruycker will preside and the SJA Choir will lead our singing. Nursery is closed.

Soup Suppers 5 pm - 6:30 pm
in Hospitality Hall: Gather for conversation, soup and bread, made and served by our parishioners. Experience the oneness and heart connection of our whole faith community! Families encouraged to come! 
Quiet Prayer and Meditation: A Meditation Room (former gym vestibule) will be open for quiet, personal reflection each Wednesday in Lent, 5 – 6 pm. Learn the art of Contemplation and Centering Prayer, 5:15 - 5:45 pm, led by Prayer Partners 

Lenten Wednesdays, All educational and prayer offerings begin at 6:30 pm in the Gathering Space

  • February 20: “Stories of the Heart” It’s Lenten Wednesday night at the movies. Explore our connectedness through a powerful, short film about relationship and the transformed heart. Discussion and prayer.
  • February 28:  “Songs of the Heart”  Experience the human connection through the songs shared by our own SJA musicians. Discussion and sharing of the music that touches our lives.
  • March 7:  “Hearts of Flesh”  Using the human senses to connect our human heart with the universal heart. Come, explore the many and diverse possibilities of prayer.   
  • March 14:  “Forgiving Hearts”  A Lenten Reconciliation Service with our Pastors, Prayer Partners and SJA Schola. Experience the beauty of forgiving and being forgiven in community through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
  • April 5: “Hearts and Hands For Service” Come to the gym from 6:30 – 8:00 to spend an evening with family and friends doing service for local non-profits. There will be fun and meaningful activities for all ages.
