Brighter Days Family Grief Center provides a weekly grief support series, four times per year, for families who have experienced the death of a loved one. For youth ages 4-17, and their parents/caregivers, this series is an evidence-based and trauma-informed program led by our trained staff and volunteers. Each series starts with a beautiful welcoming ceremony for the family and ends with a meaningful closing ceremony, both providing the opportunity for connection to each other while also honoring their loved one. Activities are hands-on and age appropriate, and each week focuses on a specific topic. While the children are meeting, the adults are invited to attend an educational class about how to best support their grieving child or a support group specific to their loss.
Brighter Days Family Grief Center focuses on bringing families back together after the death or terminal diagnosis of a loved one by addressing the many psychosocial and logistical needs of each family member. Trusted by Minnesota hospitals, hospices, schools, and community partners since 2017, they provide free, compassionate, and comprehensive care that each child, adult, and family deserve.
