Fall 2019 Justice Grants Awarded!

Fall 2019 Justice Grants Awarded from the SJA Outreach Fund
Recently, our St. Joan of Arc Justice Grant committee met and awarded a total of $58,250 in grants to 12 organizations, all of which include SJA parishioners as volunteers and leaders. Twice a year, we have the privilege of seeing first-hand the good that is happening in the world, and we have the privilege of supporting and enhancing that good through the SJA Outreach Fund.

What are we seeing?

  • We see nonprofits doing so much with so little, and collaborating in incredible ways.
  • We see service providers focusing on systems change in addition to direct service, working internally and in the community for racial justice and equity, ensuring the dignity of every client, and creating opportunities for clients, volunteers and staff to advocate for justice in the public arena to change the systems that perpetuate poverty.
  • And we see that the heart of St. Joan of Arc encompasses children and students, immigrants, refugees and asylees, vulnerable adults, those living with illness and the effects of poverty and trauma locally and globally.
  • You are everywhere, and we are proud to partner with you in your faithful commitment to God’s people.
