Black Catholic History Month

November is Black Catholic History Month. With all that our brothers and sisters have contributed to our Catholic faith, we want to share some resources that may be of interest to you.

We Are the Church // A discussion on race and the Catholic Church
This is a very interesting, hour long discussion by three women of their experiences as Catholics in the world and Church today.  Hosted by "Blessed is She", it was recorded this summer.  As we seek to create an anti-racist church, listening to and reflecting on the stories of black Catholics is really important. A reading list on the history of Black Catholics in the United States and their contributions to Catholic theology, history, and activism.
"We hope that this list contains something for everyone, whether you are looking for an overview of racial injustice in the United States, prayers or meditations, a theological treatise, or resources for talking about race and racial justice with your kids. While by no means a comprehensive list, our goal is to foster conversations about racial justice in the church around the country and from a variety of entry points." Click Here to see the list.
