Announcing the 2019-2020 Concert Series

Announcing the 2019-20 SJA Concert Series! Tickets will go on sale beginning Sunday, October 27th after the 9am and 11am Masses, after that tickets will also be available at Series ticketing will be offered in two packages: $75 for three concerts in the Gym Series and $50 for our new, two concert Chapel Series held in the church. By purchasing the Gym Series, you can reserve your same seats for all three shows. The Chapel Series will be entirely general admission. All shows can be purchased individually for $25 each for general admission seating and $10 each for student general admission seating.

We’ll kick off the Gym Series on Monday, December 2nd with The George Maurer Group Holiday Show. George and the gang return to SJA for the holidays with special guests Ann Michels, Jeff Engholm and Jim Ten Bensel. On Sunday, February 16th Thomasina Petrus will present a concert for black history, Are We There Yet? Tales from the American Journey. This concert will also feature T Mychael Rambo, Brittany Delaney, Tonia Hughes, Aimee Bryant, Dan Chouinard, the SJA Choir and more. We’ll conclude the Gym Series on Sunday, April 26th with Michael Monroe presenting From My Backyard, featuring music and reflections from Superior’s North Shore, with photos from world-renowned photographer Jim Brandenburg. All shows begin at 7pm.

The Chapel Series highlights a performance by The Rose Ensemble where they’ll present An Early American Christmas. This show will feature Appalachian ballads, Colonial carols, Shaker hymns and Irish fiddle tunes from an 8-member ensemble directed by Jordan Sramek. The concert will be held in the church on Sunday, December 15th. Sofia will present Chambers Of The Heart on Sunday, March 15th. This spiritual musical experience features performance from this sublime trio of performers: Carin Vagle, Tim Frantzich and Dean Magraw. Both of these shows also begin at 7pm.
