Mental Health Ministry

Sarah Super is a rape survivor, educator, and activist. In the wake of being raped, Sarah Super chose to speak out about her experience, and by doing so learned that she was far from alone, that survivors surrounded her. Sarah learned that by telling her story, she unconsciously invited others to tell theirs. To continue this ripple effect and to call our community to stand with survivors, Sarah founded Break the Silence. This survivor-led organization hosts community truth-tellings events, organizes public demonstrations, and is building the nation’s first permanent Memorial to Survivors of Sexual Violence with the Minneapolis Park & Rec Board.
