Welcome to Lent 2026, SJA: We Center Down and Rise Ready Together. We begin today by introducing our theme, inspired by readings from African American theologian and spiritual director Howard Thurman and Native American author Sherman Alexie. Both of these voices will ground us in the call of our faith, centering us in God's love, and strengthening us to rise to the challenges of this time and this place.
