SAGES Ministry began as a group of senior SJA members who had retired or were nearing retirement and wanted to explore ways in which the collective wisdom gained by life experience might be shared with the wider SJA community and other seniors. The SAGES Coordinating Committee meets monthly to share learning, spiritual growth and to plan programs that benefit the SJA community. We work together and provide opportunities to share wisdom across generations and connect people who share similar values and also expand our collaboration with other ministries.

SAGES sponsors/presents workshops, retreats and opportunities for folks to gather, listen and talk. We are particularly proud of our Life Planning series, held each spring, with programs related to health, finances, and funeral planning. Watch the SJA Web site and bulletin for more news about SAGES programs and events.
