Our
Nursery
Welcome to the
St. Joan of Arc Sunday morning Nursery, located in the lower level of the
Parish Center. We offer a safe and fun place for our littlest parishioners and
their families to begin their faith journey. We open 15 minutes before each
Mass – 8:45am and 10:45am. Come let your little ones burn some Sunday morning
energy while you enjoy quality time at Mass. We staff two rooms; Toddler I
includes an infant area and large muscle play area for children birth to 24
months (1:4 ratio). Toddler II is equipped with activities and toys for
children 24 months to 4 years old (1:7 ratio). Our Nursery is a wonderful place
for families to connect and parents to rejuvenate on Sunday mornings!
Our Nursery is
run as a cooperative. Volunteers include: parents, grandparents, youth
volunteers and child-loving parishioners. Parents are asked to volunteer 6
times per year. In addition to volunteers, the nursery staff and Lead
Volunteers assist with family registration, check-in/check-out, diapering and
toileting the children, as well as helping with transitions and preparing
activities for the children.
All adult volunteers (18+) and staff
must undergo a background check, sign a Code of Conduct and complete VIRTUS training, as required by the Office for the Protection of Children & Youth.
You can stop by to
visit the Nursery Sunday morning, whether it’s for a one time out of town guest
or you’re a new family in our community. We will take you on a tour and answer
your questions or contact Nursery Director.
