Each summer, the Saint Joan of Arc Youth Ministry Program sends delegations of 9-12th graders to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in western South Dakota. Working with the local organization Re-Member, our teens have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the history, culture, and spirituality of the Lakota people. This incredible week includes building projects on local homes, lessons from community leaders, and tours of important historic and geographic landmarks.
We see our delegations as Catholic Social Teaching in action – being in solidarity with our sisters and brothers, living out the works of mercy, and building community! Come join us for this amazing, life-changing week!

"The measure of your compassion lies not in your service of those on the margins, but in your willingness to see yourselves in kinship with them, connected to them – to move beyond the service of the other, to a solidarity, where your heart is in the right place – and, now finally, to a place of kinship, where your feet are in the right place.” - Fr. Greg Boyle
