Take Up Your Life: Grounded in Our Catholic Faith

Lenten Prayer and Learning:  Grounded in our Catholic Faith is a way to deepen our personal and community relationships with aspects of our faith:  Sacraments, Prayer and Community. Join us on Wednesday evenings in the Church at 6:30 p.m., following the Soup Supper.

February 20:  Father J. Michael Joncas, composer, liturgist, theologian and educator, will join us.  Be inspired by our common Catholic identity through the Sacraments:  The purpose, personal meaning and the spiritual growth of these signs of Grace.

February 27:  We look at our Catholic identity through prayer: We have invited a panel of SJA parishioners – Father George Wertin, Barbara Schubring, Donelle Poling, Ray Spack and panel moderator, Christopher Hermann, to talk about the purpose of prayer, prayer in the community and prayer in our spiritual life.

March 6:  Our Catholic identity shines when our Prayer Partners share their gifts of reflection and forms of prayer.

March 13:  Dr. Catherine Cory helps us explore our common Catholic identity and the act of worship.  We will explore the meaning of being in a faith community – worshipping together, celebrating together and making a difference with your life.

March 20:  Bringing our Lenten Journey of Prayer and Learning to a close with our SJA Choir and Prayer Partners as we embrace the Celtic celebration of the season with the traditions of earth, song, prayer and reflection.
